Terms and Conditions
These Terms explain how Open Trader is provided, what users are responsible for, and the limits that apply to a high-risk trading environment. They are written to be clear, protective, and transparent.
Open Trader is designed as an open-source, decentralised trading protocol with a roadmap and architecture focused on user control, transparency, and non-custodial principles. Certain features may be released in phases. Where a feature is not yet fully active, the platform may use operational controls, internal records, third-party services, or review processes to provide the current product experience.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account, accessing the platform, placing a trade, submitting a deposit or withdrawal request, using support, or otherwise interacting with Open Trader, you agree to these Terms and all policies linked from the Legal Documents page. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Eligibility and user responsibility
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to use trading, cryptoasset, and digital asset services in your jurisdiction.
- You are responsible for checking whether your local laws permit access to the platform, trading tools, deposits, withdrawals, and any digital asset exposure shown.
- You are responsible for your account security, device security, login credentials, wallet details, transaction details, tax position, and trading decisions.
- We may restrict, suspend, or close access where required for security, compliance, abuse prevention, or platform integrity.
3. No financial advice
Open Trader does not provide financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting, portfolio management, personal recommendation, or suitability advice. Platform tools, AI assistance, calculators, charting, risk outputs, margin information, support responses, educational material, and prompts are provided for education and operational support only. You remain solely responsible for every trading and funding decision.
4. Trading model and synthetic exposure
Open Trader may offer trading tools that present CFD-style, perpetual, synthetic, or ledger-based exposure. Unless expressly stated otherwise in a specific product notice, using the platform does not give you ownership of the underlying asset, share, commodity, index component, or issuer. A displayed market may be a reference price, synthetic exposure, or contract-style position rather than a spot purchase of the underlying asset.
Order tickets, risk controls, contracts, exposure, stop loss, take profit, margin, and profit/loss figures are operational tools. They may be estimates until a trade is opened, modified, closed, reviewed, or reconciled by the platform.
5. Market data and third-party providers
Prices, charts, order books, market trades, reference rates, and other market information may be sourced from third-party venues or data providers, including Binance, Hyperliquid, and other providers. Provider names are disclosed for transparency only. They do not imply partnership, sponsorship, endorsement, execution, custody, responsibility, or any guarantee by those providers.
Market data can be delayed, unavailable, incomplete, inaccurate, interrupted, or different from executable market prices. You should not rely on a single data point or tool as the basis for a financial decision.
6. Orders, execution, and platform records
Orders may be accepted, rejected, delayed, cancelled, adjusted, or closed according to platform rules, risk controls, data availability, account state, technical availability, and compliance checks. The platform may rely on internal records to calculate balances, positions, exposure, margin, profit/loss, fees, and account activity.
Stop loss, take profit, margin call, liquidation, and risk controls are intended to help manage risk, but they do not remove risk and may not execute at the displayed level during volatility, gaps, outages, illiquidity, or data disruption.
7. Deposits, withdrawals, and wallet operations
Deposits and withdrawals may be subject to supported networks, proof requirements, manual or automated review, security checks, minimums, limits, fees, blockchain confirmation times, and third-party processing availability. Sending assets to the wrong address, chain, memo, tag, or network can cause permanent loss.
The platform is built toward user-controlled, non-custodial architecture. Until every part of that architecture is live and verified, product pages should be read together with the current Deposit and Withdrawal Policy and any in-app instructions shown at the point of transaction.
8. Fees and charges
Fees may include trading fees, spreads, network fees, third-party processor fees, withdrawal costs, conversion costs, or other charges disclosed in the Fees and Charges page or at the point of use. Network and third-party fees may change without notice because they are outside Open Trader's control.
9. Prohibited use
- No market abuse, manipulation, wash trading, spoofing, fraud, sanctions evasion, money laundering, or illegal activity.
- No attempts to bypass security controls, rate limits, account restrictions, geographic restrictions, or identity checks.
- No abuse of support, automated scraping that harms the service, or activity that degrades platform stability.
- No use of the platform by or for any person who is not legally permitted to use it.
10. Service availability and changes
Open Trader may add, remove, suspend, change, or limit markets, providers, features, fees, documents, account requirements, or platform access at any time. We aim to communicate material changes clearly, but uninterrupted availability is not promised.
11. Complaints and support
Support is available for operational help. Complaints should be submitted through the complaints process so they can be reviewed separately from normal support activity. See the Complaints Policy.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Open Trader is not responsible for trading losses, market movement, data disruption, third-party provider issues, user mistakes, lost credentials, wrong-network transfers, tax consequences, unsupported jurisdiction access, or losses arising from reliance on educational material, support, AI outputs, charts, or calculations.
13. Updates to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect product, legal, risk, or operational changes. The latest version published on this page applies when you use the platform. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
